Types of Control Cable
Screened Control Cable
Screened control cable, also commonly referred to as shielded cable, is designed to protect signal transmission from external electromagnetic interference (EMI). It has a conductive layer, usually made of braided aluminum foil or copper, that wraps around the insulation of the wires inside.
Control Wire
Control wires are multi-conductor cables used in automation and instrumentation applications. Control wires can measure and regulate transmissions of automated processes. Control cables are often UL rated and/or CSA rated.

When control cables cross each other, the high-voltage cables should be under the low-voltage cables. If one of the cables is protected by a pipe or separated by a partition within 1m before and after the intersection, the allowable minimum distance is 0.25m.
When the control cables are close to or crossed with the heat pipe, and if there are thermal insulation measures, the smaller distances for parallel and cross are 0.5m and 0.25m respectively.
When the control cables crosse the railway or road, it should be protected by a pipe, and the protection pipe should extend beyond 2m from the track or road surface.
The distance between the control cables and the foundation of the building should be able to ensure that the cables are buried outside the building's water; when the cables are introduced into the building, it should be protected by a pipe, and the protection pipe should also extend beyond the building's water.
The distance between the control cable directly buried in the ground and the grounding of the general grounding device should be 0.25 to 0.5m. The buried depth of the cable directly buried in the ground should generally not be less than 0.7m, and should be buried under the permafrost layer.
